Barcelona are ready to give Philippe Coutinho his debut for the club on Thursday.
The Brazil international signed for the Blaugrana from Liverpool earlier this month in a deal worth around €160m but is yet to play for Ernesto Valverde’s men.
The 25-year-old has been out for the past three weeks with a thigh injury, but reports in Spain suggest that he could play his first minutes against Espanyol in the Copa del Rey on Thursday.
Barça are currently 1-0 down after the first leg of the quarter-final clash and Catalan daily Sport are suggesting Coutinho will be on the bench for the second leg.
Although the club are wary of rushing Coutinho back from injury, the story claims that they will bring him on should they be struggling to make it to the semi-final.
