Philippe Coutinho is settling in nicely in Munich since making his year-long loan switch from Barcelona, appearing in all three Bundesliga matches he’s been eligible for so far this season.
In an interview with Bild, Coutinho revealed how Thiago has helped him integrate at Bayern and also how Bayern has more of a family environment than Liverpool did.
“Thiago is Brazilian and speaks Portuguese. He helped me very much on the first days, especially with respect to communication.
“German is fricking hard! But I’ve resolved to learn a bit. A few staff members speak Spanish; that made it easy.
“Everything here is very familial. I know that from Liverpool a little bit, but things are even more familial here.
“I think it was really good (his first Bayern training session). The fans were incredibly nice to me. It’s super to feel this positive energy of theirs right up close.
“A big number of children are always there; I see their eyes beaming and that makes me happy.”
Coutinho has been included in Bayern’s Champions League squad that will face Red Star Belgrade on Wednesday.
