Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma is once more in the crosshairs of Paris Saint-Germain.
The French champions had been heavily linked with a move for the Italy international two years ago.
But he performed a surprise u-turn when he seemed set to leave San Siro before penning a new contract until 2021.
Once again, PSG have entered the fray in a bid to finally resolve their goalkeeping situation, according to L’Equipe.
The French outlet claim that they are strongly considering a fresh assault on the Rossoneri number one before the market closes.
Previous reports had also suggested that PSG had their eyes on Real Madrid’s Thibaut Courtois or Keylor Navas to solve their issues between the posts.
Had a deal for Neymar been pursued seriously by Los Blancos, Les Parisiens would reportedly have requested one of those players as part of the deal.
Although Alphonse Areola has started both Ligue 1 games, Thomas Tuchel did suggest that he would rather rely on a new arrival as his first choice.
“I cannot confirm that Areola will be my No. 1,” he said after Sunday’s defeat to Rennes, as quoted by Eurosport.
“I can’t say anything for certain while the transfer window is open. Each player must show his qualities, including Alphonse.”
Teenage summer arrival Marcin Bulka is also currently serving as back-up, highlighting the need to reinforce in that area after both Gianluigi Buffon and Kevin Trapp departed.
