Paris Saint-Germain are set to launch their own cryptocurrency, which could provide fans with huge rewards.

The French champions have agreed to enter a partnership with Socios.com, CNN have revealed.

“We are focusing on onboarding the biggest clubs in Europe and in the coming weeks, we will announce other big clubs who will also be joining our platform,” Chilliz ZEO Alex Dreyfus told CNN.

Chilliz is a sports blockchain venture looking to make waves in professional sport.

“Outside of France, our priority is clubs in the UK, Italy, Spain and Germany.”

According to the report, PSG’s partnership will see fans given access to PSG tokens, which they can use to vote on club matters and secure VIP status.

Additional benefits may include choosing the music played in the stadium, the colours of the club kit and even where friendlies or summer tours may take place.

Last month, seven Premier League clubs agreed a deal with Israel-based eToro which sees them paid in virtual currency Bitcoin.
