The provisional suspension of the punishment imposed by the Court of Arbitration for Sport on Peruvian striker Paolo Guerrero, for the alleged case of doping in the match against Argentina in October 2017, will conclude on 15 July.
This has his club, Brasileirão leaders Flamengo, extremely worried.
The Mengão initially asked the CBF to speak on their behalf, however, the Brazilian Federation told them to directly deal with the CAS.
Paolo Guerrero’s contact with Flamengo ends on 10 August, so the response they receive from Switzerland will be essential in order for the Brazilian club to decide whether or not to extend the Peruvian’s contract.
Paolo Guerrero arrived in 2015 from Corinthians and has scored 43 goals in various tournaments for the Rio giants.
