With six games to go, Palmeiras are five points clear at the top of Série A in Brazil.

It isn’t, though, just the title they’re playing for.

Luiz Felipe Scolari’s side are also closing in on the longest ever unbeaten run in Brasileirão.

Palmeiras’ last defeat came on 25 July against Fluminese, when Roger Machado was still in charge. Since then, the league leaders have won 13 and drawn four of their 17 league games.

Corinthinans, champions in 2017, have the league’s longest ever unbeaten run, making it to 19 games the same year.
