Pablo Zabaleta believes Sergio Agüero is 'one of the best' | OneFootball

Pablo Zabaleta is hoping that Sergio Agüero will have a rare off day when West Ham host Manchester City on Saturday.

The Hammers take on the reigning Premier League champions at the London Stadium this afternoon, looking to end the Citizens unbeaten start to the campaign.

Zabaleta, who spent nine years at the Etihad, will be up against his countryman and former colleague, and has lavished praised on the striker – insisting he is one of the best in the division’s history.

“He is one of the best strikers in Premier League history without a doubt,” the veteran defender told the Mirror. “One hundred and fifty goals so far and he cannot stop scoring.

“He looks fit, he looks sharp and has signed another year. I know he has ambitions to keep scoring goals.

“He is not too far from Thierry Henry and some of them at the top of the all-time list. Alan Shearer is on 260 so I’m not so sure about that, but I am very happy for Sergio.

“He is playing with great players around him as well and they always keep playing attacking football so he will score more goals.”

Should Agüero score in east London today it would be ninth goal of the domestic campaign so far.
