Club football came back to our lives this weekend and that can only mean one thing…the return of the Onefootball European power rankings!

If you’d like to remind yourself how our last rankings looked from before the international break, you’ll find them here.

And as always, be sure to hit us up on Twitter and let us know how we’re clueless and you hate us.

1. Manchester City (No change)

Pep Guardiola’s swashbuckling side have been top of our rankings since our rankings began and those who thought that might be about to change this weekend were sorely mistaken. They’re still eight points clear at the top of the Premier League too, and if they continue picking up points at their current average of 2.83 per game, they’re on course for a staggering 108.

2. Barcelona (No change)

The Blaugrana weren’t hugely convincing in Saturday’s 3-0 win away at Leganés – a scoreline even Ernesto Valverde admitted was “excessive” – yet they remain four points clear at the top of La Liga and 10 clear of Real Madrid. Luis Suárez is back in the goals too, which is bad news for defenders everywhere.

3. Bayern Munich (No change)

A third slip-up in a row from Borussia Dortmund coupled with a routine win for Bayern means the Bavarians are now six points clear of second-placed Schalke at the top of the Bundesliga. The win over Augsburg saw Jupp Heynckes become the first person to rack up 500 wins – both as a player and a coach – since the Bundesliga began and also meant Die Roten became the first team to break the 3000 point barrier since the league’s inception in 1962. Too easy.

4. Paris Saint-Germain (No change)

Another pretty comfortable win for Les Parisiens over Nantes means they’re six-points clear of Monaco at the top of Ligue 1 and looking a good bet to reclaim their title. Edinson Cavani’s brace took him up to 12 for the season in Ligue 1 and everyone went home happy — even Neymar.

5. Napoli (Up one)

A 2-1 win for Napoli over AC Milan on Saturday got Maurizio Sarri’s men right back on track in their quest for a first Scudetto since 1990. Now, can they get their Champions League campaign back on track against Shakhtar Donetsk in mid-week? It’s going to be tough, but it’s not impossible.

6. Valencia (Up one)

Los Che’s win over Espanyol on Sunday was their eighth La Liga victory in a row and their best winning streak of all-time. The 30 points they’ve picked up so far is also their best ever start to a season after 12 games. Next up for Marcelino’s men? A trip to Barcelona next Sunday. Should be a good one.

7. Manchester United (New entrant)

With Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimović finally making their long-awaited return from injuries and Romelu Lukaku ending his goal drought, the Red Devils came from behind to register an impressive 4-1 win over Newcastle on Saturday. They’ve still got a lot of ground to make up on rivals Manchester City, but with three-quarters of the season left to play, their task is far from insurmountable.

8. Porto (No change)

There was no Liga NOS action in Portugal this weekend but Porto did overcome Portimonense in the Taça de Portugal, which they’ll hope was the perfect preparation for Tuesday’s crunch Champions League encounter with Beşiktaş.

9. Inter Milan (New entrant)

Inter’s 2-0 win over Atalanta on Sunday evening moved them up to second in Serie A and just two points behind Napoli. Mauro Icardi’s brace in that game took his tally to 11 goals in 12 matches this term. Not bad, not bad at all.

10. Schalke (New entrant)

It may only be November but we can’t see anyone stopping Bayern Munich from winning the Bundesliga again this season. Still, Schalke are the best of the rest in Germany at the moment and their 2-0 win over Hamburg on Saturday was their seventh of the season. Next weekend’s Revierderby away at Dortmund should be a very interesting one indeed.
