We enter the final international break of 2017 following what was another fascinating weekend of action in European club football.

League tables across the continent are really beginning to take shape now and the fourth edition of our weekly Euro power rankings is a good reflection of which clubs are firmly in the driving seat of their respective divisions.

1. Manchester City (No change)

City’s 3-1 win at home to Arsenal on Sunday was made slightly easier thanks to a favourable refereeing decision or two but the result was ultimately no less than they deserved. Their win away at Napoli in the Champions League wasn’t bad either, and how about this for a stat…

2. Barcelona (No change)

Forgotten man Paco Alcácer bagged a brace in Barça’s 2-1 win over Sevilla on Saturday night which leaves Ernesto Valverde’s men four points clear at the top of La Liga and eight clear of Real Madrid.

3. Bayern Munich (No change)

Bayern outclassed Borussia Dortmund with a 3-1 win at the Westfalenstadion on Saturday and now look a pretty safe bet to claim a sixth successive Bundesliga title. That’s 7 wins from 7 in the post-Carlo Ancelotti era.

4. Paris Saint-Germain (Up two)

PSG notched up their second 5-0 win of the week away at Angers on Saturday meaning they’ve now scored 13 goals and conceded 0 since they were held to a 2-2 draw at Marseille on 22 October. Defending champions Monaco are only four points behind them but the Ligue 1 title looks like it’s Les Parisien’s to lose.

5. Tottenham Hotspur (New entrant)

Spurs capped off a week in which they registered a historic victory over Real Madrid in the Champions League with a much tighter and less historic 1-0 win at home to Crystal Palace. Still, they’re level on points with Manchester United now and look like they could be City’s strongest challengers for the title.

6. Napoli (Down two)

The Partenopei’s defeat to Manchester City leaves their chances of qualifying for the Champions League knockout stages looking very precarious indeed and they were disappointingly underwhelming in Sunday’s 0-0 draw at Chievo. They’re still top of Serie A, but only just.

7. Valencia (Up three)

Those of us waiting for it all to fall apart for Los Che will have to wait a little longer following a comfortable 3-0 home win over Leganés this weekend. Marcelino’s men are still four points better than Real Madrid and still unbeaten in the league this season.

8. Porto (No change)

Porto’s 2-0 home win over Belenenses on Saturday was their third on the spin and leaves them four points ahead of Sporting at the top of Liga NOS. Their win over RB Leipzig in the Champions League last week was a big one too.

9. Real Madrid (No change)

Zinedine Zidane’s side really needed that 3-0 win at home to Las Palmas on Sunday night. Being 11 points behind Barcelona would have been borderline unassailable but if they can get Cristiano Ronaldo firing again, they might just have a chance of catching their fierce rivals.

10. Juventus (Down three)

The Bianconeri were thoroughly unconvincing as they inflicted a 12th straight defeat on struggling Benevento on Sunday but a win’s a win and they’re breathing right down Napoli’s necks in Serie A now.

Dropping out: Manchester United
