On Thursday, the Bayern Munich board unanimously elected eight-time Bundesliga champion goalkeeper Oliver Kahn as their newest member.
According to a report in TZ, the area that Kahn will work in has not yet been determined.
“I’ve played for this club for 14 years and continue to feel a strong bond with the club that allowed me to experience so many great emotional moments.
“My willingness to take responsibility has always been there, but it also has to be right.”
Kahn was named Best European Goalkeeper three straight times, from 1999 to 2002.
In addition to his eight Bundesliga titles, Kahn won six DFB-Pokals, the 1996 UEFA Cup and the 2001 Champions League crown.
