Despite turning down a deadline day transfer to Wolverhampton Wanderers, Oleksandr Zinchenko could still leave Manchester City this summer.

According to ABC de Sevilla, Real Betis are hoping to sign Zinchenko on a season-long loan and the player is open to the idea of joining the La Liga club.

However, after Kevin De Bruyne was ruled out for three months with a knee injury last week, Blues boss Pep Guardiola has not yet decided whether he should let the versatile Ukrainian go or not.

Zinchenko’s agent is already understood to have visited Betis’s Estadio Benito Villamarín and the 21-year-old also has a loan offer on the table from City’s sister club Girona.

Andrés Guardado – who played with Zinchenko during his loan spell at PSV Eindhoven in 2016/17 – is believed to have recommended him to Betis boss Quique Setién.

Since joining City from Russian club FC Ufa in 2016, Zinchenko has made just 14 first team appearances, all of which came last season when he was deployed mostly as a makeshift left-back in the absence of Benjamin Mendy.

The midfielder has not been included in either of Guardiola’s squads for the first two Premier League fixtures of the season, and was notable by his absence from a group photo taken in the dressing room following Sunday’s 6-1 win over Huddersfield Town.
