Newcastle have confirmed the signing of Islam Slimani on loan until the end of the season.
The Algeria international has been in and out of the Leicester team this season, scoring just one Premier League goal.

Times have been tough at Leicester for Slimani, who joined as the club record signing but has failed to become a first team regular under three different managers.
Magpies boss Rafael Benitez has been crying out for a new striker all window, and seems to have found his man right at the last minute.
Slimani was linked with a switch to Monaco earlier in the window, but will end the campaign at St James’ Park.
