Former Watford striker Odion Ighalo has been banging in goals left and right in China, so much so that he’s been rumoured with a January return to the Premier League.
Everton, Newcastle, Southampton, West Ham, Crystal Palace, and even Watford have all been linked to the 30-year-old and on Wednesday, the Nigeria international confirmed he’s received offers from England.
“There are always speculations about me, and truly I have offers from the Premier League, but I also have a two-year contract with Shanghai and am happy here,” Ighalo told Nigerian outlet Brila.
“The Premier League is the best in the world and of course I would love to go back, with Watford or any other team.
“It could happen, but I have a contract with Shanghai and we’ll see how it goes.”
In 72 Chinese Super League games with both Changchun Yatai and Shanghai Shenhua, Ighalo has scored 46 goals.
