Only 200 Wolves VIP fans will be allowed inside the Národný Futbalový Štadión for their huge Europa League clash against top-ranked Slovan Bratislava on Thursday.

The Slovakians have been sanctioned by Uefa for racist chants and displaying a racist banner during their play-off tie against Greek side PAOK.

While the match was originally supposed to be played in an empty stadium, Uefa have allowed 21,000 fans under the age of 14 from Slovakia and the Czech Republic to attend the match.

While manager Nuno along with many of the Wolves players have questioned why their own fans should be punished, they have vowed to put on a top performance for their supporters back home.

“It’s not quite understandable. If they allowed young children, why not allow our fans who wish to be here and support the team?” Nuno asked at his pre-match press conference.

“It’s a decision we have to understand, but it’s a big disappointment. Hopefully, we can compete well and have a good performance for those that are here and those that are back home.”

Wolves will be without Ryan Bennett (groin), as well as Pedro Neto (heel). However, Romain Saïss (hamstring) and Ruben Neves (calf) have travelled to Slovakia and should feature.
