Paris Saint-Germain chief Nasser Al-Khelaifi has hit out at Neymar amid claims that the Brazilian wants to leave the French capital.

Rumours that the South American striker has been unhappy at the Ligue 1 giants have been doing the rounds for some time now, with all suggestions indicating that he wants to go back to Spain.

The club have always denied that Neymar is for sale, but a report on L’Equipe changed the narrative somewhat, as they revealed that PSG would be open to selling the 26-year-old.

And now Al-Khealifi has publicly called out the forward, insisting that he was not “forced” to leave Barcelona for the Parc des Princes.

“I want players willing to give everything to defend the honour of this shirt,” he told France Football.

“Those who do not want to be here and do not understand the project can sit down with me and we can talk.

“There are of course contracts to be respected, but the priority for us is to have players who have total dedication to the project.

“Nobody forced him to come here. Nobody pushed him. He came knowingly to join this project.”

Blimey.
