Brazilian outlet Globoesporte first reported the news, claiming that the Spanish champions pulled the plug on a deal on Saturday.

After making one last big play towards the end of the week to bring Neymar back, they have ended their pursuit due to being unable to reach an agreement with PSG.

On Thursday, they claim that the Blaugrana had an offer of €130m plus Ivan Rakitić, Ousmane Dembélé and Jean-Clair Todibo (on loan) turned down.

That deal came unstuck when the French outfit requested more money, leading to Neymar’s entourage acknowledging that he will have to stay.

Sky Sports also report that the deal is now dead in the water and even suggest that Neymar will now see out his contract at the Parc des Princes.

His current deal runs until the summer of 2022.

After a summer of twists and turns, it seems we can finally draw a line under this one.
