Itâs understandable that Neymar has not won everyone over with some of his recent antics but one ex-pro has taken particular exception to his behaviour.
Former Chelsea and Scotland star Craig Burley is currently a pundit for ESPN and he did not hold back in a vicious rant at Neymar on Saturday.
âThe biggest, most petulant guy in world soccer at the moment,â is how Burley introduced Neymar.
He then highlighted penalty-gate with Edinson Cavani but also accused Neymar of being soft and self-centred.
It makes for some pretty incredible viewing but itâs worth noting that Burley was not the only ex-pro to have a dig at Neymar in recent days.
Robert PirĂšs, who spent a few seasons at PSGâs rivals Marseille before moving to Arsenal, suggested that the Brazilian may not be as crucial as he thinks he is.
âNeymar is the best player, he knows how to do everything with the ball, but for me the most important player for PSG is Adrien Rabiot in the midfield,â PirĂšs told Bwin.
