Strap yourselves in because this sounds like it could be the start of something huge.

A new report in the Spanish press on Tuesday has suggested that Neymar and Kylian Mbappé are “barely on speaking terms” and that the father of the French superstar has been “shocked” by the Brazilian’s treatment of his son.

Well-sourced journalist Diego Torres, who writes for El Pais, has claimed that the world’s most expensive player has been bullying the teenager at times last season and refused to pass to his strike partner during one game.

It’s been revealed that Neymar and countryman Dani Alves have been openly mocking Mbappé in the PSG dressing room, comparing him to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Donatello.

That has apparently outraged the young goalscorer, and his father, who is believed to be furious with the former Barcelona stars, and claims that they have “contempt” for the ex-Monaco ace.

Torres’ story reveals that Neymar and Mbappé barely speak to each other off the pitch, and at one point last term had to be “separated by team-mates” after a row.

The piece goes on to insist that the South American duo have reduced the youngster’s talent down to “just being very fast”.

Alves openly mocked the 19-year-old after Les Bleus win over Argentina in the World Cup round of 16, posting an image of a Donatello doll with the caption: “Donatello is fast, eh?”

It remains to be seen whether the three players will be team-mates next term, with numerous rumours suggesting that either Neymar or Kylian Mbappé could be on their way to Real Madrid as a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo.
