Rafa Silva has been tearing apart Liga NOS and it appears Newcastle are ready to bring him into the fold.
With Ayoze Pérez certain to depart for LaLiga this summer, the agent of the soon-to-be 26-year-old Benfica star has confirmed the Magpies are interested.
“They (Newcastle) are one of those interested, are one of the interested. Whatever happens, will happen. Now, the main focus is to be champion (of Portugal),” agent Antonio Araujo told Rádio Renascença.
“Benfica know what Rafa wants, we are waiting calmly. I think it’s going to happen because there is a will from the club and there is Rafa’s will as well.
“The player is well at Benfica, now he wants to see his salary situation go to what he really represents for Benfica.”
Silva joined from Braga in 2016 for €16m and reportedly has a €60m release clause.
