Mohammed Salisu’s standout performances for Real Valladolid this season have understandably not gone unnoticed.
It has been a breakout campaign for the centre-back, who has been one of LaLiga’s star defenders at the age of just 20.
But Spanish outlet Pucela Fichajes report that he may not be at the Estadio José Zorrilla too long, with plenty of interest in his services.
They claim that Premier League duo Newcastle and Everton have both registered an interest in signing the Ghanaian.
In addition, both Sevilla and Schalke are also apparently keen on signing Salisu, with all four clubs having scouted him closely this season.
The defender has a release clause of €12m in his contract but no club has yet tabled an official offer.
His current club have toyed with the idea of offering Salisu an extension with a higher buyout clause.
But it is claimed that the renewed interest in the player could complicate any plans to have him commit to a new contract.
