The New York derby takes place on Wednesday night in clash between second and third though both sides will be missing key players.
All-star right-back Michael Murillo is a big miss for the visiting Red Bulls while City are without three first-teamers for the MLS Heineken Rivalry Week clash.
Centre-back Alex Callens is out for New York City FC with a knee injury while winger Jesus Medina is also sidelined with a hamstring problem.
Both injuries occurred in last weeks’ 2-0 defeat at Philadelphia Union on a costly night for the club.
Not only were two vital players hurt but Ronald Matarrita was also shown a red card and is suspended for this one.
The winner in the Big Apple duel will close the gap on Supporters’ Shield leaders Atlanta United.
