We’re set for a thriller clash as Camp Nou sees two goals in five minutes, and then another two before the half hour mark.

Girona took an early lead on the ‘New’ Derby against Barcelona thanks to Samuel Umtiti’s passivity that lead to Portu’s goal.

Girona are the club that have the highest goal percentage within the first 20 minutes of La Liga matches this season. And they did it again.

Barcelona quickly reacted and equalised with a Lionel Messi-Luis Suárez combination that ended with a goal by the Uruguayan international.

Then Messi got away from two defenders and with a left footed shot took off Girona from the list of teams he had never scored against.

And then Messi took a free-kick:

Just before half-time, Messi engineered Suárez brace in which Philippe Coutinho ended up with the assist.

In the second half, Coutinho scored his first goal wearing Barça’s jersey.

Suárez then reached yet another hat-trick in his career and extended Barcelona’s lead.
