Neil Warnock has called on the Premier League to block Tottenham’s move to their new stadium.

Speaking after his Cardiff City side lost 3-0 to Spurs on Tuesday, Warnock said it would not be fair for Spurs to leave Wembley more than halfway through the season.

The north London club have been playing at the national stadium as they wait for their new ground to be completed.

Warnock, though, thinks that provides certain opponents with an unfair advantage.

“The league should enforce they play at Wembley now for the rest of the season,” said the 70-year-old.

“I don’t think there should be any chance of an advantage to any of our opponents. It’s not our fault.

“We should have been playing at the new stadium ourselves. I think they (the league) should step in now. It should be until the end of the season now…. I think they should enforce it.”

Cardiff faced Spurs at Wembley in October, losing 1-0.

The north London club are currently hoping to move into their new stadium in February.
