On Thursday night, Celtic avenged their only loss of the season with a 2-0 win over Romanian champions CFR Cluj to take themselves to the top of Europa League group E on four points.
Cluj knocked Celtic out of the Champions League third qualifying round with a stunning 4-3 win at Celtic Park back in August.
Celtic signed 11 new players over the summer and manager Neil Lennon claims that his new boys still need a lot of time to adjust before they can be fairly assessed.
“Sometimes you need to be patient,” said the Celtic manager. “In the modern game players get written off after 45 minutes of football.”
“Players have to adapt to the expectations which are sometimes a little bit different.
“Some of them took a bit longer than others, which is natural. Now we’re seeing them in full flow and they’re showing that they’re good players at a very high level.”
Celtic are back in action on Sunday when they play away to Livingston.
