Celtic are heading back home with an away-goals advantage following their 1-1 draw in Copenhagen on Thursday after Odsonne Edouard’s 14th-minute effort was matched by Dame N’Doye early in the second half.

Manager Neil Lennon felt that the Hoops dominated the match and felt after the game that his side should be going back to Celtic Park with the lead despite Fraser Forster having to save a penalty late.

“Going in 1-0 at half-time I felt we could’ve been two or three up,” said Lennon.

“I thought we had good control of the first half. We gave away a poor goal from our point of view and it gave Copenhagen a huge lift psychologically.

“I felt on the counter-attack we had great chances in the second half as well, so I’m disappointed we haven’t come away with more goals.”

In addition to not going back to Scotland with more than a single away goal, captain Scott Brown’s status will be in jeopardy as he needed to come off due to injury in the 73rd minute.

“We lost Brown with a calf strain, so we’ll have to see how that is.”

The two teams will meet up next Thursday at Celtic Park after the Hoops first engage in a league tie with Kilmarnock on Sunday.
