Napoli are 'interested in signing Gerard Deulofeu' from Barcelona

Napoli are interested in signing Barcelona forward Gerard Deulofeu, in a bid to bolster their forward line with one eye firmly on the Scudetto.

The Partenopei are currently top of Serie A, one point ahead of Juventus with 17 games of the season remaining.

And reports in the Spanish press are that Maurizio Sarri’s side will make a move for the Barça striker, in the hope of adding depth to a relatively shallow squad.

Deulofeu rejoined his boyhood club at the start of the season following spells at AC Milan and Everton but with Lionel Messi – and others – in front of him the 23-year-old has found playing time hard to come by at Camp Nou.

The Blauagrana are, according to Sport, willing to sell Deulofeu for €18m, whereas Napoli would prefer to loan him until the end of the campaign.
