Reports in Spain have sensationally claimed that Mohamed Salah’s agents have ‘offered him’ to Barcelona and that the Catalan giants are willing to open negotiations.
The Blaugrana are believed to be in the market for a forward this summer but are so far struggling to get a deal for Antoine Griezmann over the line.
AS believe that the France international is the club’s number one target, but are willing to look beyond the Atlético Madrid man if a deal can’t be done.
As such, the Madrid-based daily has revealed that the agents representing that Liverpool forward have been in touch with those in the upper echelons at Camp Nou, and have told the Liga winners that Salah would be willing to move to Barça.
Whether the Reds would be willing to sell the Egypt international is another matter, especially after his record-breaking debut season at Anfield.
AS’ story suggests that Jürgen Klopp’s men would ask for a fee in excess of €100m, but that seems very cheap considering Salah’s 32-goal campaign last time out.
They claim that Lyon youngster Nabil Fekir is being brought into the club with the sole purpose of being a replacement for Salah, with the Merseyside outfit knowing that former Roma winger is likely to leave.
