Miralem Pjanić is reportedly “tempted” to leave Juventus and join Manchester City this summer.

Pjanić has been a standout performer for the club since arriving from Roma in 2016 but is facing increased competition for his place from Emre Can and Rodrigo Bentancur.

According to Tuttosport, Juventus rejected a €50m bid from City in May, which led Pep Guardiola to pursue Jorginho instead.

The report claims that for such a deal to happen, Pjanić would need to force things on his end with Juventus aiming to build a Champions League challenging squad.

Despite their huge €100m outlay on Cristiano Ronaldo, the Bianconeri have no need to sell the Bosnian and would prefer to sell Gonzalo Higuaín and Daniele Rugani instead.

Should their attempts be rebuffed again, Guardiola is happy to rely on Fernandinho, with support from Ilkay Gündogan and Fabian Delph for the number six role.
