Miralem Pjanić is set to sign a new contract with Juventus until 2023 and will see his annual salary rocket by €2m.
According to Di Marzio, the Turin club have offered the Bosnian fresh terms to ward off Real Madrid who have reportedly held an interest this summer.
The 28-year-old’s current deal runs until 2021 and will be extended by a further two years with Pjanić’s earnings rising from €4.5m to €6.5m.
Juventus management met on Tuesday and the midfielder will put pen to paper in the week.
Should everything go swimmingly as expected, Pjanić will become the club’s third-highest player behind Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala.
