There was some mixed news on the injury front in the Juventus camp on Wednesday as Miralem Pjanić partially trained with the first-team.

Despite not going through full first-team training, Juve are said to be optimistic that he will play this weekend against Atalanta after hobbling off during Italy’s 3-0 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina last week.

Blaise Matuidi participated in full first-team training on Wednesday after a rib fracture kept him out of the France side during the international break.

Meanwhile, the results of Alex Sandro’s medical exams for his left thigh injury were positive and it appears that he will come back for Tuesday’s Champions League fixture against Atlético Madrid.

The news was not all good, however, as Adrien Rabiot picked up an injury in training and is now likely to miss out on the Atalanta clash.
