The Lions boss hit out at the exuberant scenes following Jack Harrison’s 89th minute leveller as Leeds claimed a 1-1 draw in dramatic fashion.

The goal came shortly after the two benches had already came to blows because Millwall, leading the game, had apparently held onto the ball too long after it had gone out of play before Leeds eventually found the net from the resulting throw-in.

With tensions high, the Yorkshire club’s dugout celebrated wildly and the two opposing sides clashed once more.

Leeds coach Marcelo Bielsa has already admitted responsibility and apologised for the celebrations but Harris believes the behaviour of the bench was a ‘disgrace’.

The Millwall manager, who initially said there was ‘no problem whatsoever’ at the full-time whistle having himself exchanged words with Leeds duo Ezgjan Alioski and Barry Douglas before the goal, told the south London press: “I think Marcelo has already apologised in the press for his bench.

“And I’ve already stated that my staff could’ve given the ball back slightly quicker, make it more accessible to get the ball. But their reaction to the goal is completely over the top and a disgrace in English football.

On whether he had a post-match drink with Bielsa, Harris added: “No. I briefly had a five minute catch-up when I went pitchside to do press. We discussed the heated exchange at the end of the game.”
