Paris Saint-Germain held talks with Flamengo, while Liverpool had also been linked with the player.

Milan’s successful negotiations were conducted by Leonardo, the former Brazil midfielder who is now back at San Siro as sporting director.

Paquetá, 21, was handed his Flamengo debut in March 2016 but had to wait until this year for his true breakthrough.
