Club América manager Miguel Herrera has already announced his starting XI to face Major League Soccer’s Atlanta United in the first leg of the CONCACAF Champions League quarter-finals on Wednesday.
Just as he started against Comunicaciones in the round-of-16, Oscar Jiménez will start in goal for the Mexican giants.
Interestingly, Herrera has decided to omit Paul Aguilar from the XI, with Jorge Sánchez playing at right-back, which is, in fact, his natural position.
Luis Fuentes will start on the other side, with Bruno Valdez and Emanuel Aguilera featuring at centre-back.
In the midfield, we will see Santiago Cáseres along with Richard Sánchez and Leo Suárez.
Finally, América will have an explosive front-three with Giovani Dos Santos, Andrés Ibargüen, and Henry Martín.
Atlanta United famously defeated América 3-2 in last year’s Campeones Cup final – the only matchup between the two sides.
