However, Herrera has flat-out denied such rumours to foreign clubs, which may indicate that he could sign a contract extension in the coming weeks.

Herrera has also admitted that Roger Martínez insists he wants to leave the club to return to Europe. Though the player still trains with the club, he will not be considered for the team.

Should Martínez not find a suitable offer to play in Europe, he already has a very juicy offer from a club in Major League Soccer.
