Michy Batshuayi says Borussia Dortmund loan restored his confidence | OneFootball

Michy Batshuayi has revealed how moving on-loan to Borussia Dortmund helped restore his confidence.

Since arriving in the Bundesliga on Deadline Day, the 24-year-old has scored eight goals in 11 games for the club.

Despite talk of a permanent move, Batshuayi insisted he didn’t want to talk about that out of respect for Chelsea.

“What you see now, this is the real Michy!” he told Sky Sports News.

“Don’t ask me about my future. I had a difficult time and it’s good to be back on track.

“Chelsea was great for me but I feel better now playing and scoring goals.”

“I was very well received by Dortmund, by the whole club. I felt a lot of love, a footballer is stronger when he has confidence.

“I didn’t expect to find my efficiency so quickly. This is the real Michy, but I still want more.

“The fans are unbelievable and the stadium is beautiful. I really never expected to settle so quickly.”
