On Tuesday night, América broke the internet when they re-signed Guillermo Ochoa – the best Mexican goalkeeper of all-time.

Although many believed that Ochoa returned to Mexico because he had no other options, the 34-year-old confirmed that he in fact did have the chance to take his talents to other European sides.

“I had other offers at the table, but I couldn’t tell América that I didn’t want to play for them.

“I wanted to take their offer at a good age, I didn’t want to return just to retire with them, I wanted to come back while I can still play at a high level.”

Ochoa will likely be thrown right into the starting XI when they travel to face Toluca this Sunday.
