Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri and former Blues coach Antonio Conte are both being lined up as potential candidates for the Roma job next season.

That’s according to Corriere della Sera which claims that the Giallorossi are on the hunt for a long-term manager, with Claudio Ranieri only in charge until the end of the campaign.

Ranieri took over from Eusebio Di Francesco last month and is working gratis for his boyhood side until the Serie A season ends on May 26.

As such the Stadio Olimpico outfit are now casting their eyes across Europe to look for a coach to take them back into the Champions League.

The Roman sports daily suggests that Conte and Sarri are the front-runners for the post, with owner James Palotta preferring the style of football played by Sarri.

Conte is also in touch with Inter over taking over at San Siro this summer, but is currently locked in a contractual dispute with Chelsea and is content to stay in England where his young daughter is at school.
