Christian Eriksen has been strongly linked with a summer move and Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino isn’t ruling it out.
After his side’s Champions League final loss, the Dane caught many by surprise by admitting he’d be interested in an exit.
Although there didn’t appear to be any initial offers or uptake in Eriksen, Pochettino acknowledged that he is still unsure how things will end.
However, the Argentine did publicly urge the midfielder to remain in north London.
“I hope he will stay because I think he’s a great player,” Pochettino told reporters while attending Formula 1’s British Grand Prix.
“He’s one of the biggest talents in football and after five years of working with him, I know how he plays.
“But as you know, there is a lot of interest [in him]. I hope he stays but I don’t know what will happen with that.”
Manchester United have most recently been linked with resuming interest in the former Ajax man.
The Independent report that if Paul Pogba does leave Old Trafford, Eriksen is the man they will turn to as a replacement.
