PSG look to take their second step toward a domestic treble as they host second-placed Monaco Sunday.

PSG, who have already won the Coupe de la Ligue with a 3-0 victory over Monaco a fortnight ago, can claim the Ligue 1 title with a win over their French rivals with five matches to spare.

Marquinhos is just 23 and has won the Ligue 1 title every year since his arrival in 2013 – except when Monaco won last season.

The Brazillian centre-back told the Ligue 1 website, “It’s exciting to know we can become champions at home against our great rivals this season who beat us to the title last year.

“A lot of things play a part in these games. We need to be ready mentally in order to win, play well, score goals for the fans and give them our all. It’s not only about being champions, it’s about playing well and scoring goals.”

PSG can complete the treble with a French Cup triumph. They face Caen in the semi-final on Wednesday.
