West Ham captain Mark Noble has revealed the personal torment Jack Wilshere has went through due to injury.

Fitness problems have plagued him throughout his career and it has been no different with the Hammers.

Wilshere came in on Saturday for his first appearance the start of December.

Noble hopes it is the end of the injury anguish as he opened up on how difficult it has been for his teammate.

“It is nice to see him back out there. He’s missed so much football this season,” Noble said, as quoted by the Express.

“You don’t see [what he goes through] unless you know the person and see them come in every day.

“Even if you’re out for 10 days with a hamstring injury, if you aren’t out training, you don’t feel part of it.

“Players come in laughing about training and you feel rubbish because you’re in the gym.

“To be out for as long as Jack has is so demoralising. Hopefully now he can stay fit and the best is yet to come.”

Wilshere has played less than 350 minutes of Premier League football with West Ham this season.
