Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo has revealed the extent of the head injury he sustained during last Sunday’s Manchester derby.
Rojo was involved in a sickening clash of heads with Manchester City’s David Silva in the first half at Old Trafford and eventually had to be substituted at the interval.
And a photo posted on social media by the versatile Argentine reveals he’s subsequently had to have metal staples applied to a gruesome looking wound on his forehead.
The 27-year-old – who has only made four appearances so far this season due to injury – missed the mid-week victory over Bournemouth but is in line to make his return against West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns on Sunday.
And he’ll have one heck of a scar when he does.
