Leeds are expected to make a huge amount of changes for Tuesday’s first-round EFL Cup tie with newly-promoted League Two side Salford City.
One of those players who could benefit is 17-year-old Polish sensation Mateusz Bogusz.
Bogusz was brought in from Polish outfit Ruch Chorzow last January for a nominal fee and though he hasn’t made his Leeds debut, Bielsa claims he’s extremely close to making his breakthrough.
“He will be inside of the group. He has showed his skills. Now he’s very close to the team, but he has to develop a lot of things yet,” Bielsa said.
“One thing is to have the capabilities to play in the team, it is another to show this.”
Bogusz shone in pre-season and scored in Leeds’ friendly victory against Australia’s Western Sydney Wanderers.
