Leeds United’s form continued to wobble with a 2-1 loss to Stoke City on Saturday.

The Championship leaders have now lost three of their last four league games and Marcelo Bielsa admitted he has concerns after the match.

“Every time the team doesn’t win I’m worried,” said the Argentine.

“It was a game that we could have won. That was reachable.”

Bielsa then criticised his side’s ability to create clear chances despite dominating possession.

Leeds saw over 70% of the possession at the Bet365 Stadium but managed just four shots on target against a Stoke side mired in mid-table.

“We had the ball, we arrived easily in the last part of the pitch but in spite of this we couldn’t arrive in the box enough,” Bielsa said.

“If you have the ball and you can’t arrive to the last part of the pitch, you can’t have chances to score.

“We were calm and we weren’t afraid of the offensive aspects of the opponent but we didn’t have a solution.”

Other than the win at Derby last Friday evening, which came amid the ‘spygate’ scandal, Leeds haven’t won since Boxing Day, losing three times in the Championship and in the third round of the FA Cup.

The Whites do, though, remain top of the Championship, a point clear of promotion rivals Norwich City and four points ahead of fellow Yorkshire club Sheffield United.
