Reading striker Marc McNulty has become Sunderland’s fourth signing of the summer, joining on a season-long loan.
In his first season with the Royals, the Scotland international scored just once in 15 appearances and was sent out on loan to Scottish sides Hibs for the second half of last season.
The 26-year-old has a very impressive loan spell, scoring eight goals and adding five assists in 17 matches in all competitions.
“I had offers from clubs at a higher level, but when Sunderland come calling, it’s a no brainer,” he said.
“I’ve played for big clubs before and I love the pressure that comes with a passionate fan base.”
In 303 career matches, McNulty has registered an impressive 110 goals and 53 assists.
McNulty signed with Reading from Coventry last season following spells at Sheffield United, Bradford City, Portsmouth, and Livingston.
