Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen has urged the club to go and and buy Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcântara.
The Catalan giants are seemingly in the market for a new creative force having seen Andrés Iniesta depart for Japan.
A number of targets have been linked, however the German shot-stopper has spoken out insisting that the Liga champions should look to bring back one of their former sons.
“I would like to have Thiago at Barça,” he told Sport Bild.
“His playing style suits us. He is an interesting personality from our point of view.
“Thiago is a special type of player. He definitely would offer us different possibilities. If a transfer happened, it would be brilliant both for him and for us.”
The 27-year-old came through the ranks at La Masia and played nearly 70 times for the first team between 2009 and 2013.
He left Camp Nou to join Pep Guardiola in Bavaria and has since gone on to become one of the fulcrums of the Bayern midfield.
