Manchester United are reportedly ready to ‘break the bank’ for West Ham midfielder Declan Rice.

Rice has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign for the Hammers, even forcing his way into Gareth Southgate’s England plans.

According to the Irish Independent, United are ready to pay £50m for the 20-year-old who has been personally singled out by chief executive Ed Woodward.

Rice recently signed a new five-year deal with West Ham but his £30,000-a-week salary could be trebled at Old Trafford with minimal fuss.

Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini even admitted that the club may be forced to sell if a “big team pay an important amount of money” to sign him.

Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho and Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka are also being earmarked by United who are planning to rebuild their squad this summer.
