Manchester United are reportedly planning a summer move for Napoli left-back Faouzi Ghoulam.

The 27-year-old was one of the best left-backs in Europe this season until tearing his anterior cruciate ligament in November.

However, after returning to full fitness, Il Mattino believe that United are already preparing their transfer strategy.

He signed a new contract in December to June 2022 that includes a release clause for clubs outside Italy worth €35m.

With Luke Shaw likely to leave this summer and Ashley Young turning 33 in July, a move for the defender makes sense.

The report also claims that Liverpool and Bayern Munich are interested in Ghoulam and will rival the Old Trafford club.
