It seems like Manchester United will not be happy with just one Brazilian this summer and so have their eyes on one more.

Neymar? Nope. Marcelo? Hmmm, no. Willian? Bingo!

And if the latest reports from the Manchester United Evening Press are to be believed, they are being encouraged in their bid for the Chelsea man.

If José Mourinho, who, of course, worked with Willian at Stamford Bridge, would get his man, it would come at a price, however. The price being £50m.

Says the report: “It was felt Chelsea would be reluctant to sell to a direct rival [last summer] – particularly after losing Nemanja Matic to United 12 months ago – but Roman Abramovich’s decision to reduce his spending at Stamford Bridge means the Londoners are likely to sell to boost their transfer funds.”

It continues: “Gareth Bale is the dream option – but Willian represents a much cheaper solution at a time when United are looking strengthen in defence, midfield and up front.”

Given Willian’s form for Chelsea over the last few season, it would seem that that would be £50m well spent, no?
