Alexis Sánchez is officially the most popular player in the Premier League – according to a new report.

Sports clothing giant Sports Direct have released data showing which club shirts have been the most popular in their stores since January 1.

Manchester United’s new signing comes out on top, with the Old Trafford outfit dominating when it comes to the rest of the top 20.

Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimović, Romelu Lukaku, David De Gea and Marcus Rashford are all included in the list, with Kevin de Bruyne the highest-placed Manchester City player in seventh.

The only jersey from outside the Premier League is Philippe Coutinho’s No. 14 Barcelona shirt.

Liverpool have three entries – Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Virgil Van Dijk.

Whilst Eden Hazard is the only Chelsea player to be named.
