We said earlier in the week that one way to appease City fans is by designing plain blue shirts with round collars.

Another way to appease City fans is by releasing red and black away stripes, which is exactly what Umbro did ahead of the 2011/12 season.

This kit was almost perfect but loses a few marks for the way they made the stripes go a different direction on the sleeves.

But it will always remind us of that amazing 5-1 win away at Tottenham that season, when Samir Nasri made his debut, Edin Džeko scored four and City truly set their stall out for the season.
